Welcome to the Twiggs County Public Schools Human Resources Department!

My name is Stephanie Collins, and I proudly serve as the Human Resources Director and Executive Assistant to the Superintendent. It is an honor to welcome you and assist you throughout your employment journey with Twiggs County Public Schools.

My career with the district has been a rewarding journey of growth and service. Although I began serving as a substitute teacher in 2013 while completing my internship at the Central Office, I officially joined Twiggs County Public Schools in January 2014 as the School Nutrition Bookkeeper. Since then, I have had the privilege of serving in several roles that have prepared me for my current position:

1. January 2014: School Nutrition Bookkeeper
2. July 2015: Payroll Clerk
3. October 2021: Executive Assistant to the Superintendent
4. July 2025: Assistant Human Resources Director (added to current responsibilities)
5. July 2026: Human Resources Director while continuing to serve as Executive Assistant to the Superintendent

Each position has strengthened my commitment to serving our employees, supporting our leadership, and contributing to the success of our school district.

Education has always been important to me. I am a graduate of Washington County High School and earned a Business Office Diploma from Sandersville Technical Institute (now Oconee Fall Line Technical College). I later received an Associate Degree in Business from Central Georgia Technical College, a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Phoenix, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix. I am also proud to hold the Associate Professional in Human Resources (aPHR®) certification through HRCI.

I am a native of Sandersville, Georgia, and have been blessed to build my life in Twiggs County with my husband, Raphael Collins Sr., a Twiggs County native. Together, we have three wonderful children—Precious C. Walker, Juanita Collins, and Raphael Collins Jr.—all proud graduates of Twiggs County Public Schools. 

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, serving faithfully in my church, reading, writing, traveling, and playing board games.
