If you are interested in becoming a Substitute Teacher or Support Substitute in other departments for Twiggs County Public Schools, here is what you need to know:
Substitute Teacher Application Window
- August 17 – October 9, 2020
- December 14 – January 11, 2021
- April 12, 2021 – May 20, 2021
Unless there is a specific vacancy posted, please submit your online application during the application window to the specific job number for "substitute teacher, substitute custodian, lunchroom staff, and bus driver” After the vacancy/window closes, all applications are reviewed, and you will be notified via the email account associated with your online application regarding any further action you may need to take.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Completing a substitute teacher application is never a guarantee of employment. All applications will be reviewed.
Effective August 6, 2020, fingerprinting for criminal history record information will be conducted within the district. The fee is $50.00. This fee is assessed for all applicants who are required to be fingerprinted as a condition of employment with the school district.
The fee will be payable by cash or money order ONLY.
This process must be completed before you can access the school buildings as an employee. Community coaches, substitutes, and volunteers must also complete this process.

IMPORTANT!!! Are you a TRS retiree?
